LETTER FROM YOUR PRESIDENT WELCOME TO AGCEP If you are a Teaching Assistant, Teacher Aide, Child Care Associate, Job Training Specialist, Health Care Aide, Security Worker or Building Clerical you are now a member of AGCEP. The Association of Greece Central Educational Professionals represents the support staff in the Greece Central School District. As the President of AGCEP I welcome you and hope to provide you with the understanding of how your local union supports your career in the Greece Central School District. The strength of our union is built through unity with our state and national affiliates. Your local union, AGCEP, is affiliated with New York State United Teachers (NYSUT). As an AGCEP and NYSUT member you are also a member of the national union of American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and the AFL-CIO (American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations). As you become familiar with your representation and the rights you have as a union member by reading your contract and the information in this packet we hope you will join us in the activities that we participate in to be an asset to our District and the Greece community. Your best source of information is your Building Representative. Your leadership team is ready and willing to assist you in any way possible. I am looking forward to getting to know you.
